US Accounting Assistant (US GAAP, QuickBooks experience)

ROLE SUMMARY
Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join their growing team. This role will act as a supporting member of the team for financial areas of responsibility, provide and substantiate timely and accurate financial data to be used as a baseline for data-based decisions, and align management and reporting with EOS processes. This is a key role that contributes to the company’s overall success. Due to the nature of the role combined with the company’s aggressive growth goals, the role of the bookkeeper is expected to evolve and grow over time.
WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (12:00 AM – 9:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform the following finance-related responsibilities:
- Execute the daily, weekly, monthly, and strategic tasks to meet the measurements of accountability
- Provide experienced accounting support to the controller and leadership team
- Validate and confirm the accuracy of financial data
- Complete all data entry tasks promptly and accurately, which includes:
- Expense and cost of goods sold
- Credit card transactions
- Verify and queue accounts payable bills for processing
- Assist in monthly accuracy review of accounts receivable, COGS, and item mapping
- Maintain Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting standards
- Act as an effective team member to support the accomplishment of the organization’s goals
- Perform the following general tasks:
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams that further the accomplishment of the company’s scalability goals
- Align reporting and communication with the EOS business framework
- Engage with all internal and external contracts with appropriate professional soft skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent amount of accounting coursework
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in GAAP accounting-related roles for privately held companies with 50+ employees
- Minimum of 3 year working competency with accounting software
- Minimum of 1 year working competency with QuickBooks Online version
- Knowledge to implement and follow GAAP accounting standards
- Knowledge of the MSP/MSSP space
- Working experience in a rapidly growing company
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
