Job Description

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for a team of motivated, enthusiastic and committed colleagues who always take the time to look at complex issues from all sides, who together master the challenges of day-to-day business, and who make the job of "running the bank" in Avaloq a success.

On our way to the cloud, we are providing an ever-increasing range of microservices to best combine availability and scalability.

Your key tasks

• Declaration of infrastructure components in Terraform for Oracle OCI, AWS, MS Azure and the private cloud of our service provider.
• Use of current technologies and tools for continuous improvement and automation of system operation.
• Set-up, operation (including security patching), monitoring and maintenance of the systems for the realization of the offered services on different infrastructure platforms.
• Assumption of tasks within the ITSM lifecycle, especially in performance, service, change, asset, incidents and problems management.
• Participation in on-call duties.
  
  

Qualifications

• Computer science degree or successfully completed training in the IT field or comparable professional experience.
• Good Linux knowledge on both “traditional” infrastructure and Cloud one.
• Basic understanding of network protocols and architectures (TCP/IP, MPLS, peering, hub & spoke).
• Practical experience with at least one cloud provider (Oracle is preferred).
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, git).
• Strong experience with CI/CD.
• Basic knowledge of software development.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills and strong customer focus.
• Fun and enthusiasm.
• Very good English skills.
