The Channel Development Manager for Online is responsible for driving and executing the
online strategy to optimize sales and Gcash’s brand presence across e-commerce platforms
and online Webpay channels. This role focuses on developing and managing key retailer
partnerships, enhancing digital trade marketing initiatives, and ensuring that GCash is effectively
promoted in the online space. The position involves close collaboration with sales, marketing,
and enablement teams to deliver tailored strategies that boost online performance, improve
customer engagement, and drive revenue growth. Key responsibilities include market analysis,
promotional planning, content development, and performance tracking across online retailers
and the total channel.
- Understand the entire business end-to-end, focusing on KPIs and which levers affect the overall business target including product take up across different channels, merchant performance, and repayment performance.
- Understand the users’ pain points and passion points for the channel, and turn them into actionable steps based on feedback and data available.
- Deep analysis of business, channel and user metrics across different report formats, in response to proposed initiatives and experimentation.
- Organization and presentation of data driven analyses, initiatives, and post mortems.
- Lead the exchange of ideas through close collaboration between cross-functional teams
- Prioritize, optimize, plan, execute and oversee the end-to-end process of trade marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate and negotiate with internal and external partners (commercial, enterprise, marketing, merchant partners, etc.) for campaigns enablement, promo partnerships, etc.
- Create new and sharpen existing programs for the online and O2O channels that will drive visibility, preference and growth for GCash and its services.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Marketing, Business Management, or any related degree
- Self-starter, willing to learn fast, and with obsession about the customer.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for financial inclusion.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing for data visualization and storytelling.
- Data driven with clear understanding of data, analytics, business metrics and user metrics. Understanding the importance of accuracy, credibility, and consistency.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen, with proven experience in trade marketing or channel development within the e-commerce space is a plus.
- Experience from FMCG, FinTech, Digital Commerce, or Telco industry is preferred.
