Telecom II, Telecom Infrastructure Operations & Analysis
Job Description
- Assist in planning, design, and implementation of telecommunication services
- Develop detailed project plans, manage telecom projects from proposal to implementation
- Work closely with Clients, IT Network Team, Procurement and Vendors to ensure timely delivery of telecommunication needs.
- Review and maintain the Global Telecom Circuit Inventory and ensure timeliness of system update on any new circuit installation, bandwidth upgrade and circuit deactivation.
- Create a forecast for worldwide telecom spend and perform monthly analysis of variance vs budget and vs actuals
- Provide a recommendation on ways to mitigate and improve telecom spend
- Establish and maintain a standard telecom cost per seat for all geos
- Assist in the annual budgeting of telecom spend
- Highlight any delays and drive timely completion of telecom project
- Ensure timely renewal of expiring telecom circuits, and compute for any incremental spend and/or savings to be generated upon renewal, if there’s any
- Ensure timely and proper payment of billing to telecom vendors and prevent disconnection of any telecom services
- Monitor and report all over and under telco payment, and drive on time reconciliation and settlement with telecom vendors
- Creates weekly and monthly telecom spend and update management during monthly meeting
- Investigate and report ambiguous telecom charges to IT
- Handle and review data circuits capacity and availability and ensure existing circuits have sufficient capacity to support existing and growth requirements
- Handles RFQ, RFP and commercial arrangements for data accounts
