What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.
- Works independently and as a team player to monitor and maintain the Telecom platform.
- This includes assisting with internal Incidents and requests, end-user questions, and troubleshooting problems.
- Maintains all appropriate documentation in support of Telecom using ServiceNow.
- Flexibility - Ability to adapt and work in a complex enterprise environment. Collaboration - Engage with other engineers, product owners, and designers to delivering work products.
- Methodology – Perform day-to-day development work as part of agile scrum team.
- Platform – To design, develop, test, deploy and document work products.
- Integrations - To support platform integrations between systems and data.
- Automations - To support automation efforts leveraging workflows, RPA, NLP, BOTs and more.
- Infrastructure and Maintenance – To support platform upgrades and patches, performance maintenance, underlying feature updates and platform fixes.
- Quality – Deliver error free code adhering to development standards, schedules, and business requirements.
- Communication - Consistently and accurately communicate status to manager and teammates.
- On-Call Support as experience is gained- Participate in 24x7 on-call team rotations
- At least 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience as a Telecom Engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Genesys Cloud is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of telephone systems and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Basic knowledge of IT standards, processes, and best practices.
- Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, relational database design, and SQL.
- Exposure to Linux, AWS, Azure, and DevOps. Experience with cloud-based technologies and NLP BOTs is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A team player who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to stay updated on current initiatives and technologies.
