THE ROLE
As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation that transforms complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand content for both technical and non-technical audiences. Your work will support end-users, internal teams, and developers by delivering well-structured materials that enhance product understanding and usability.
You will collaborate closely with software developers, application managers, senior software engineer , and product support to produce a variety of documentation. This includes user guides, manuals, tutorials, FAQs, publish user articles, technical reference materials, system architecture overviews, API documentation, and internal process documentation.
Your primary goal is to ensure that all documentation is user-centric, consistent, and aligned with the latest product developments - helping users and teams interact with the software efficiently and effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, edit, and maintain high-quality user documentation, including manuals, quick-start guides, release notes, tutorials, and FAQs.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for developers, such as API references, code annotations, system design overviews, and integration guides.
- Work with cross-functional teams—including developers, QA engineers, and Application Managers, Product Support, and Senior Software Engineer to gather source information and validate technical content.
- Translate complex technical information into clear and accessible content tailored to the target audience.
- Organize and structure documentation in a logical, user-friendly format using appropriate tools and standards.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers (Developers) to ensure documentation aligns with user journeys and support materials.
- Manage version control and updates to ensure documentation remains current with software releases and system changes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by establishing documentation standards, templates, and best practices.
- Assist in developing visual aids such as diagrams, flowcharts, and screenshots to support written content.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in a software development or IT environment.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, system architecture, and APIs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to clarity and detail.
- Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Confluence, Adobe Acrobat, or Canva.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and content management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience in creating visual documentation assets (e.g., diagrams using Lucidchart, Draw.io, or Visio) is a plus.
Work Schedule:
This is a hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence three days per week. Candidates should be flexible and open to working night shifts, as needed.
