Technical Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Analysis and Design:

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for various construction materials, including but not limited to steel, concrete, and composite materials.
• Ensure that designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical solutions and recommendations to optimize material use in construction projects.

Technical Support:

• Assist the sales team with technical inquiries and provide detailed product specifications to clients.
• Evaluate project requirements and offer guidance on the selection and application of appropriate materials.
• Support project managers by reviewing technical drawings, plans, and specifications.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of materials into construction projects.
• Conduct site visits to assess material performance and address any on-site challenges.
• Provide technical advice and troubleshoot issues that arise during the construction process.

Quality Assurance:

• Review and verify the quality and compliance of materials before delivery to project sites.
• Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure materials meet the necessary standards.
• Document and report on material testing results and structural assessments.

Product Development and Innovation:

• Work with the R&D team to develop new products or improve existing ones based on market demands and industry trends.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and materials that could enhance the company's product offerings.

Training and Documentation:

• Prepare technical documentation, manuals, and guidelines for the use of the company's products.
• Provide training sessions and workshops for internal teams and clients on material applications and best practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and innovations.

Qualifications: with a driver’s licensed and personal service vehicle (e.g. motorcycle);

With work experience in the construction industry or construction hardware company (e.g. Aluminum and Glass Company, Sub-Contractor and Gen. Contractor)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the construction materials industry.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro).
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and materials.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and provide on-site technical support.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based with occasional site visits.
• May require travel to project sites or client meetings.
