Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Technical Director to join our Energy Group. This role involves leading and driving the technical management and delivery of renewable projects, particularly onshore wind projects (offshore wind experience is an advantage).

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality technical input throughout the full life cycle of wind farm projects, from project development phases (prospecting, site selection, resource monitoring, yield assessment, layout design, site suitability, and feasibility studies) to wind farm design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
• Act as the Technical Director/Lead for wind projects across the Philippines Region. Provide technical leadership and support to develop a strong technical wind team, establishing an in-depth technical knowledge and expertise hub in the Philippines.
• Support national business initiatives, including active participation as a member of the leadership group for the Energy Business Group.
• Collaborate with other business groups across the Philippine Region and other sectors to ensure GHD is well-positioned to secure major multi-disciplinary opportunities in wind.
• Provide technical support and leadership, including mentoring and coaching to uplift team skills, proactive identification and integration of advancing approaches, thought leadership, active involvement, and promotion of Technical Service Lines and other global collaboration initiatives of GHD.
  
  

What will you bring to the team?

• 10+ years of industry experience in wind, with a track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations (experience in a consulting environment is an advantage).
• Focus on onshore wind, with preference given to candidates with offshore wind experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge and background in wind, from pre-development, design, and implementation/construction to testing and commissioning works.
• Strong market network knowledge (clients, project pipeline) in the Philippines will be given preference.
• In-depth and comprehensive knowledge of wind farm owner’s engineering services and tools used during development (such as WindPro, WaSP, Openwind, and/or other industry-recognized tools/software) and construction stages.
  
  

This position is also open to expatriates under an international local hire arrangement.
