The Specialist will coordinate sourcing and vendor management activities, helping to secure reliable suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain production timelines. The Impact you’ll make
Product Sourcing & Supplier Evaluation
- Research and identify potential manufacturers and suppliers domestically and internationally.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality standards, and compliance with company requirements.
- Obtain competitive quotes, samples, and lead times for product components and finished goods.
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with vendors regarding specifications, timelines, and requirements.
- Assist in negotiating pricing, minimum order quantities, and payment terms to optimize costs and terms.
- Monitor vendor performance and escalate quality or delivery concerns promptly.
- Track and manage production schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
- Proactively follow up with suppliers to resolve potential delays or issues.
- Collaborate with product development and operations teams to relay updates and facilitate issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate and organized sourcing documentation, contracts, and communication logs.
- Support continuous improvement of supply chain processes and reporting.
Required:
- Proven experience in product sourcing, supply chain coordination, or vendor management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of professional cross-cultural interactions.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and collaboration tools such as Google Sheets and Slack.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- WFH Set-Up:
- Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
- Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
- Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
- Back-up computer and internet connection
- Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with international shipping, Incoterms, and basic import/export practices (a plus).
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively follow up on tasks.
- Adaptability and responsiveness to changing timelines and priorities.
- You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and take ownership of your work.
- You are meticulous, reliable, and value clear communication.

Work Setup:
- Remote position
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
- Required to provide own computer with Intel Core i5 or something similar or higher operating system
- Monday to Friday, 1 PM to 5 PM CST (Central Standard Time)
- Occasional weekend availability for urgent matters
- 20 hours per week
- $7 per hour
- No benefits package included
