About the role

Join Illum Technologies Co. as a Structured Cabling Technician. In this full-time role based in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems. Your expertise and technical skills will be crucial in ensuring the efficient operation and connectivity of our clients' IT infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

  • Install and configure structured cabling systems including cables, connectors, and termination points
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cabling, networks, and related IT equipment
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all cabling installations and modifications
  • Collaborate with project managers, IT teams, and clients to coordinate cabling projects
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as needed
  • Comply with safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe work environment

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a structured cabling technician or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards, protocols, and installation techniques
  • Proficient in the use of cabling tools and test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotations as needed
