The Investment Strategist works in close coordination with the other investment teams to formulate market outlook and portfolio strategy. The role involves close collaboration with Relationship Managers and Investment Advisers in guiding clients on investment services such as portfolio management, asset allocation, and investment solutions. The objective is to support the firm in growing its business through timely and appropriate investment recommendations.
Analyze the different asset classes and individual securities from a standalone and multi-asset perspective to formulate investment strategies and portfolio recommendations.
Effectively communicate and provide periodic market updates, house views, security analyses, and top investment ideas to the Relationship Managers and Investment Advisers in the form of briefings and write-ups.
Combine in-depth knowledge about investments with wealth planning services for a holistic approach.
Cultivate relationships with clients alongside the Relationship Managers and Investment Advisers, as well as supportive of bringing in new clients or establishing relationships.
Consolidates feedback from clients and RMs to conceptualize and implement appropriate investment solutions for clients.
Conceptualizes and propose process and tech initiatives to improve portfolio advisory functions.
Business Course Graduate; preferably with CFA/MBA/Masters in Economics or Finance or related fields.
Preferably with experience in wealth management, asset management, or investment advisory in financial institutions.
In-depth understanding of global, regional, and local financial markets and their investment implications.
Above-average communication skills, proficient in both oral and written communication, computer literate.
Relationship building skills with both clients and other functions within the organization.
Analytical mind and sensitive to trends in financial markets.
Proactive in challenging the status quo and continuously optimize processes and tasks.
The position requires candidates to work well under pressure, be adaptable to a fast-paced work environment, and have attention to detail. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills given the wide scope of the clientele. Customer focus is essential as the role services various client segments including retail, high-net worth, and institutional clients.
