To support this growth plan, ULI Asia Pacific requires an experienced, highly organised, Senior Director to lead a Marketing & Communications team for the region to increase ULI’s visibility and brand awareness, to support the growth and retention of membership, strengthening its financial position and overall mission impact.


Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing and Communications Director to spearhead and elevate our marketing efforts across the Asia Pacific region. In this role you will take the helm in crafting and executing a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategy that aligns with our mission and long-term objectives. This pivotal role is crucial in building brand recognition and driving engagement with current and prospective members.


You will work closely with our leadership team and leverage your expertise to deliver innovative marketing solutions that resonate with our diverse audience across the Asia Pacific. Your strategic vision and creative direction will be instrumental in ensuring that ULI remains at the forefront of the industry, offering unparalleled value to our members and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marketing, with a good understanding of the built environment, and be adept at managing multi-channel campaigns, including digital, social media, content, and event marketing. This role requires a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve the our objectives.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the Asia Pacific CEO, this position will act as a strategic partner to the regional team to develop, organize and execute the marketing and communications plan to support the ULI Asia Pacific business plan, according to an agreed budget.
  • Manage an integrated marketing and communications team to deliver this plan at a strategic level and to respond to tactical marketing requests from the regional programmes, events, corporate development and membership teams.
  • Curate and deliver creative and dynamic marketing and communications plans to promote: the annual summit and RE Imagine conference, flagship research publications and regional programmes.
  • Develop regional campaigns which take into consideration cultural sensitivities, local governance, alternate use of media etc
  • Responsibility for all external content and channels, including the website, social media channels and email marketing
  • Work with the US-based Global Services team to align on branding and international campaigns as well content development
  • Provide strategic marketing advice to local councils for their annual conferences to ensure quality implementation to deliver financial results and assist in implementation when required.
  • Analyze, report, and use metrics to evaluate and improve campaigns and strategies.
  • Explore new marketing tools that will enhance the ULI brand and presence in the region.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 8 years marketing and communications experience plus proven experience of delivering creative marketing campaigns across the Asia Pacific region.
  • A fluent and sophisticated communicator in written and spoken English is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment collaborating remotely with staff members from different countries.
  • Event, digital and content marketing experience preferably in an international firm with English as the daily language of communication.
  • Ability to manage a marketing budget and lead a team to deliver projects on a tight deadline
  • Preferable knowledge of the real estate industry in Asia.
  • Experience in utilising data analysis/management as a tool to optimise further marketing spend.
  • Extensive experience with corporate writing and editing, including speechwriting and press releases.
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, including LinkedIn and YouTube, as well as website and social media management.
  • The position will be based in Manila, Philippines
  • Occasional travel is required


EDUCATION:

A Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree in marketing, communications, or related subject.
