BikesOnline, an Australian e-commerce business specializing in bicycles and related products, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented offshore accountant based in the Philippines to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and supporting various accounting functions.

- Record all daily financial transactions in the accounting system with precision and timeliness in compliance with Australian accounting standards and taxation regulations
- Store and organise data for compliance and audit purposes
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including daily and weekly reconciliations and aging monitoring
- Process and code vendor invoices and customer payments promptly
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded
- Conduct monthly bank, credit card, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Collaborate in preparing schedules and documentation for external audits
- Support the preparation of financial reports as requested by management
- Collaborate with the Operations and Category Management team for inventory invoice entries to be in line with purchase order entries, credit applications and new vendor setups in Paytron
- Prepare payroll for Australian employees
- Coordinate invoicing for remote contractors, ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Explore the areas of improvement and take actions to enhance the effectiveness of internal processes in collaboration with other departments
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in e-commerce or retail industries
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and tax regulations
- Experience in complex reconciliation processes and ability to resolve discrepancies
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems is a plus
- Full-time position based in the Philippines, working remotely
- Flexible working hours to accommodate Australian time zones when necessary
- Regular video conferences with the Australian team for updates and collaboration
