Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr Quality Assurance Manager to drive quality assurance and process improvement efforts within Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations. This role is responsible for leading internal audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing workflows related to accounts receivable.

As a key member of the quality leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing QA frameworks, monitoring key performance metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall operational accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, has strong knowledge of RCM best practices, and is capable of leading quality initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities

Quality Oversight & Strategy

  • Design and lead a scalable QA program specific to AR operations in forensic healthcare, ensuring precision, process integrity, and compliance.
  • Define and enforce quality benchmarks, audit standards, and corrective action frameworks to enhance operational performance.
  • Supervise and develop the AR QA team, fostering a high-performance culture through mentoring, coaching, and KPI-driven feedback.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation

  • Ensure AR processes align with legal and regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, FCRA, and other applicable standards.
  • Perform routine audits and risk evaluations to detect inconsistencies, privacy risks, or billing anomalies.
  • Collaborate with compliance, legal, and billing teams to resolve concerns and proactively manage regulatory requirements.

Operational Review & Optimization

  • Evaluate current AR workflows and recommend data-driven enhancements to minimize billing errors and support financial health.
  • Monitor key metrics such as claim accuracy, cycle time, and cash flow impacts, using trends to inform decision-making.
  • Initiate process redesigns or automation suggestions to boost long-term efficiency and scalability.

Internal Audits & External Coordination

  • Plan and execute internal QA audits, document findings, and deliver insights to executive stakeholders.
  • Support audit readiness by preparing documentation and liaising with external auditors or regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure timely resolution of audit findings through structured remediation efforts.

Data-Driven Quality Improvement

  • Analyze QA and AR data to uncover root causes of recurring issues and recommend preventive strategies.
  • Deliver recurring reports to leadership highlighting performance, compliance gaps, and improvement outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced tools for data extraction and reporting (e.g., Excel, SQL, QA platforms).

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as the key liaison across AR, legal, finance, and compliance teams, aligning quality goals with cross-functional priorities.
  • Lead discussions on audit outcomes, QA program updates, and compliance risks with transparency and strategic foresight.
  • Promote a quality-first culture through regular updates, training, and interdepartmental alignment.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in accounts receivable, healthcare RCM, or forensic billing, with 5+ years in a QA leadership role
  • Deep understanding of forensic healthcare billing systems and compliance standards (HIPAA, FCRA, etc.)
  • Proven track record in leading quality audits and improvement programs within a regulated healthcare environment
  • Expertise in QA tools, audit software, and data analysis platforms (Excel, SQL, QA dashboards)
  • Strong leadership, presentation, and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Professional certifications preferred: CHC, CPC, CQA, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
  • Experience with ERP and RCM platforms (e.g., Epic, Oracle, SAP)
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
