Job Description

  • Determine the nature of all risks to which the company is subjected and monitor operations to spot changes in these risks which shall include identifying key risks and mitigating factors of potential investments, such as asset types and values, legal and ownership structures, professional reputations, customer bases, or industry segments. Assess risks to business operations. Analyze business or financial data. 
  • Develop the Company culture vis-à-vis risk. Promote open discussion regarding risk, integrate risk management into the Company's mission and vision and create a work environment where all employees are aware of and are fully capable of managing risks within their respective levels 
  • Ensure that the company is in compliance with all government regulations. Design methods for the mitigation of losses, such as through outsourcing of operations, changes to work instructions, or the procurement of insurance. 
  • Create risk management strategies, a written/documented plan defining the methods for managing and controlling the essential risks. 
  • Implement the Risk Management Plan. Communicate and coordinate the risk management plan and loss control procedures to affected parties. Conduct regular discussion with various stakeholders on the Company's current risk exposure based on regular management reports and guide each business unit or department on how to reduce the risks. 
  • Other tasks that may be assigned.  

Qualifications

  • BSc/BA in Law, Business, Finance or a related field 
  • Proven experience as a Risk Manager 
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and control 
  • Experience with auditing and reporting procedures 
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations (e.g. Occupational Safety and Health Act) 
  • Strong computer and research skills; knowledge of analysis software is preferred (e.g. Statistical Analysis Software, or SAS) 
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification is a plus 
  • Familiarity with local (PH) and international laws also a plus
