About the job:

  • Develop operational strategies and act as a subject matter expert on microservices and distributed systems for fintech applications.
  • Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on operations.
  • Proactively diagnose and resolve issues using in-depth log analysis, and prevent recurring problems.
  • Continuously improve processes by identifying inefficiencies and applying solutions to improve service reliability.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of known issues, workarounds, and resolutions.
  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and workshops within the team.
  • Be a member of a 24x7 shifting rotation.


About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any Information Technology or Engineering course.
  • Demonstrated ability in supporting critical production services and optimizing operations through automation and process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of SRE principles: e.g. observability, SLOs, eliminating toil.

At least 5 years experience working with the following:

  • Supporting critical production services, including response to major incidents and outages.
  • Working in large-scale distributed systems as an SRE or DevOps engineer.
  • Logging and monitoring: Splunk, Prometheus, or other APM & observability tools.
  • Incident management: PagerDuty, ServiceNow.
  • Version Control: Git.


PLUS POINTS:

  • Operations experience in e-commerce, Payments systems, or financial services.
  • Container Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure).
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Shell).
  • Relevant certifications in any of the key skills.
  • Familiarity with SQL queries for troubleshooting.
