Sr. Control Systems Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Automation related courses
• Three years’ experience in electronics, automation, and high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in electronics and control systems and highly knowledgeable in automations and programming
• Demonstrated skills in programming and troubleshooting of software applications of PLC, HMI, Motion controls, LabView, SQL and others.
• Experience programming PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and understanding their specific environments
• Experience in programming and maintenance of Industrial Robot is a plus
• Good time management and strong communication skills, sense of teamwork and fast self-learning
• Must be innovative and have a general creative flair and able to identify and act upon problem solving
• Knowledge of PLCs, DCS (Distributed Control Systems), SCADA, HMI (Human-Machine Interface), and industrial automation protocols (Modbus, OPC, etc.)
• Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues in real-time industrial settings.
• Good critical thinking, decision making skills and technical aptitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance, repair, development, alteration or modification of various types of electrical, mechanical or electronic equipment and facilities, ensure the smooth operation of automated manufacturing.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, debugging, and support for software applications to ensure uptime and functionality in critical environments.
• Integrate various hardware and software systems within the industrial environment, such as sensors, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and IoT devices.
• Develop software that automates industrial processes, often leading to improved production speeds, reduced error rates, and enhanced worker safety.
• Monitor, improve, and ensure attainment of the overall equipment effectiveness of a fully automated manufacturing equipment.
• Provide technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex control system failures.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures and identify long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Work with vendors and service providers to resolve equipment issues effectively and efficiently.
• Lead the design, selection, and installation of new equipment for production lines.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing equipment to increase performance and extend operational life.
• Analyze equipment failure trends and provide solutions to reduce unplanned downtime and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and other engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues affecting manufacturing operations.
• Prepare reports on equipment status, failure analysis, and ongoing projects for management review.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation and maintenance.
