About the role

We are excited to announce a great opportunity at Orica for a Specialist – Commercial Finance to join our esteemed Global Digital Solutions team. This position is to be based in our GBS office in Pasig City on a hybrid working setup.

The Specialist – Commercial Finance is tasked with gathering data and standardizing the monitoring of the Orica Digital Solutions portfolio to support monthly regional performance reviews, financial modelling, and profitability analysis.

This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and designing and implementing systems to meet these requirements. This Specialist – Commercial Finance will create, test, and deploy PowerBI reports for monthly performance monitoring.

What you will be doing

The role involves gathering financial reporting requirements in collaboration with the Strategy team and business leaders, developing standardized monitoring of the digital portfolio's performance, and collating system data into PowerBI dashboards. This includes working with the Data Lake team for automation pipelines and collaborating with leads and architects from various areas to ensure robust solutions. The Analyst also develops monthly performance packs for leadership reviews and provides operational support to users to help them understand PowerBI reports.

In terms of financial modelling, the Analyst supports and maintains financial models for major digital programs, collaborates with financial functions and the leadership team to meet model requirements, and prepares reports and presentations as needed. Additionally, the role involves supporting the strategy team and financial functions in conducting profitability analyses for digital product lines.

What you will bring

• Qualifications in Business, Commerce or other relevant financial experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in a financial reporting/analyst role in a complex global environment
• 3+ years’ experience in developing and deploying Power BI reports in complex global environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
• Hands-on data Power BI experience, sourcing data from SAP.
• Experience using Agile Oriented approach to analytics.
• Ability to understand and interpret business requirements and effectively translate into solutions.
• Demonstrated problem solving and remediation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
