Role Purpose

The individual is an independent contributor who operates with limited supervision and serves as a subject matter expert. They are responsible for providing essential data and analysis, as well as a comprehensive range of activities that support informed business decisions. This role involves supplying critical business information to fellow analysts and direct stakeholders. Additionally, the individual analyzes and identifies trends in process and system performance, implementing necessary action plans to enhance efficiency and optimize processes. If required, they may also represent their line manager in various capacities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work on high-priority projects with a huge impact on the organization. Manage processes and vendors regarding ongoing projects to ensure the delivery against business needs and monthly production goals.
  • Design and build performance tracking queries for individual decision support system users. Influence business decisions from Test & Learn to the Execution stage.
  • Primary point of contact for the respective focus area and can represent the line manager’s duties if needed.
  • Develop, own, and maintain highly complex data extracts and databases; ensure requirements are developed following specified business and technical requirements
  • Champion the design and publishing of reports and dashboards that can be self-service for both regional and global departmental user groups.
  • Apply analytical techniques to one or more disciplines. May perform statistical analyses.
  • Effectively communicate findings and provide actionable insights and recommendations to appropriate levels
  • Confidently make decisions, perform day-to-day responsibilities, and communicate with clients with minimal supervision required. Drives own development plan and is competent in leading self

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, and other related fields of study (Information Technology, Operations Research) or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Minimum university degree and 3-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Experience

2 or more years of progressive work-related experience working with relational decision-support databases and analytical consulting with demonstrated proficiency and understanding in one or more functions related to the position.

Technical Skills And Knowledge

  • A candidate with relevant industry experience (hotel business and/or digital marketing) is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for analyzing business trends and performance.
  • Established a strong working knowledge of the different business functional areas and act as a point of contact to respective stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate prolifically and be able to influence stakeholders of any level.
  • Being savvy in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint will be an advantage.
  • Experience with data visualization tool ( Tableau, Power BI, etc).Demonstrated knowledge of Visual Basic scripting techniques, Microsoft Access, and Excel functionality to include the use of macros
  • Demonstrated experience in a decision-support and data warehousing environment.
  • Basic project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Requires broad knowledge of theory, practices, and principles within a specific professional discipline.
  • Demonstrates capacity to understand operational needs.
  • Applies subject matter knowledge under limited supervision.
