Job Overview

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Social Media Specialist to join our team as a fully remote independent contractor. In this role, you will develop and execute innovative social media strategies to elevate our online presence and engage our audience. The ideal candidate will be a digital marketing enthusiast with a strong understanding of social media platforms and content creation. Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter to boost brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create high-quality, engaging content tailored to each platform, including graphics, videos, reels, and written posts.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics using tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social, and adjust strategies to optimize results.
  • Research and stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to refine content strategies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure social media campaigns align with broader marketing initiatives and company goals.
  • Optimize social media content for visibility and engagement.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Establish relationships with local influencers and manage collaborative partnerships to enhance our reach and community connection.
  • Stay updated on the latest digital marketing technologies and best practices to continuously improve our social media presence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Expertise in creating visually appealing content, with proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or Canva for graphic and video design.
  • Knowledge of strategies to drive foot traffic and reservations for hospitality or event-based businesses.
  • Strong research skills for identifying relevant trends, hashtags, and engagement opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Background in public relations or influencer outreach is a plus.
