Senior Tax Accountant (AU Accounting Firm, Office-based)

Salary: P100,000-P120,000 (Monthly Package)

Schedule: Monday - Friday (06:00 AM - 03:00 PM PHT)

What are you looking for?

Skills Required

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience accounting, with Australian accounting standards
• Strong knowledge of accounting software, preferably Xero or equivalent
• Good working knowledge of tax compliance and regulations in Australia.
• Proven experience and ability to effectively manage and mentor junior staff

What are you looking for?

• Manage and oversee multiple accounts and the internal accounting processes for Australian clients
• Overseeing the end-to-end process of tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all necessary tax returns and reports ie review and analyze financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
• Managing the preparation and review of complex tax calculations and returns, including income tax, GST, and other relevant taxes
• Assist in client Tax Planning - Developing and implementing tax-effective strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
• Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues, expenses, and balance sheet items related to taxation
• Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations regarding financial and accounting activities
• Effective communicating with clients, team members and stakeholders via spoken word, email and text including Effectively communicating complex tax information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance, Mentoring and assistance in their day-today activities.
