VendorSage Ltd

Date: 1 week ago
City: Cagayan de Oro
Contract type: Full time

About us
We’re about transparency at VendorSage, which is why we share that we believe what we’re working on is our life's work. We believe that fundamentally, the way the world buys, manages and adopts software is broken. Trillions of dollars are wasted every year because of this.

We’re also transparent that we’re solving part of this problem in a massively impactful way which is why we’re convinced that VendorSage has the potential to be a $100M + per year business.

Opportunities like this don’t come along every day - this is your chance to gain a meaningful amount of equity in a business that is growing rapidly and building cutting edge solutions to trillion dollar problems.

At VendorSage we’re changing the way the world buys, manages and adopts software. Our goal is to make the process more transparent and straightforward for everyone.

We’re a fully remote team based out of New Zealand. We recently closed a round of funding upon being accepted into the TinySeed Accelerator (based in the US). We’re growing quickly (already working with the top startups in New Zealand) and are gearing up for international expansion.

We’re looking for a driven Software Engineer to join our team in building out our platform alongside our CPTO.

What we do

VendorSage’s platform centralises all information related to a SaaS stack, including visualising:

  • What tools you have
  • How much they cost
  • Who has access to them and how often they use them (including shadowIT)
  • If they're paying the right price and how to optimise your spend

We’re also building out capabilities to help companies improve how they execute on their tech strategies.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient software applications using the latest technologies and engineering best practices
  • Playing a key role in improving on our existing product + building out new capabilities
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Design, implement and maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing software systems
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot and debug issues, and continuously improve the codebase
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and drive the adoption of new tools and methodologies
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects
  • Proficiency in software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • Experience in one or more programming languages, Typescript, or Java (Kotlin). We mostly used Kotlin for our microservices
  • Experience working in React, Next.js ecosystem
  • Familiar with cloud-based architectures and containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies

We are looking for outside the box thinkers / strong problem-solvers. So if you don't have all the specific skills or proficiencies but you do tick this box, reach out :)

What we offer

As a value-driven company, we prioritise people and aim to create a supportive environment. If you're the right fit—and if we're the right fit for you—we're prepared to offer a competitive package that includes perks, equity, and opportunities for growth. We're not looking for a one-off transaction; we're seeking talented individuals who want to become cultural cofounders of our business and make sure we can grow into what we have the potential to be.

Benefits:

  • Additional leave
  • Equity
  • Health insurance allowance

Other Details:

  • Fully Remote / Work from home
  • Hours - Flexible (4 hours crossover required - NZ is 5 hours ahead of Philippines)
  • Probation period: 4 months
