We are looking for a Senior Social Development Specialist to lead and manage social development projects, demonstrating advanced technical knowledge and experience in stakeholder engagement and social research. The role should contribute to organisational development and performance of the team.

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Lead the preparation of high-quality reports such as social baselining and impact assessments, social development plans, stakeholder engagement plans, resettlement plans, and other social research documentations
• Oversee and/or conduct on-the-ground data gathering activities, facilitate community consultations, social surveys, and other stakeholder engagement activities.
• Manage and demonstrate knowledge in the preparation of EIA/ESIA, social development and stakeholder engagement plans, resettlement and livelihood restoration plans, gender assessments and action plans
• Draft and review project proposals that demonstrate client focus and technical knowledge in the field of stakeholder engagement, EIA, ESIA, and involuntary resettlement
• Act as project manager and support the work of the project team to achieve outstanding project outcomes
  
  

What you will bring to the team:

• Tertiary qualification in community development, sociology, human ecology, anthropology, public relations or other related social science disciplines
• At least 5-10 years' work experience in social development work, such as socio-economic baselining and impact assessment, environmental and social due diligence, socio-economic and public health monitoring and audits, project-induced involuntary resettlement, and free prior informed consent.
• High-level of expertise and ability in producing well-written reports and proposals
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in preparing reports in accordance with local PEISS and international guidelines and standards such as IFC Performance Standards, ADB Safeguard Policy Statement, and World Bank Environmental and Social Framework
• Broad experience in client management and stakeholder collaboration
  
  

This job offer can be based either in Makati, Quezon City, or in our office in Cebu, depending on your home base / location.
