Senior Network Engineer (Tower Lead)

Job Description Summary:

As Network Support Engineer, you will be responsible for guidance and direction of network team

members to support critical business systems. Your typical day will involve resource management,

escalation management, incident resolution, problem investigation, change/release management,

continuous improvement and optimization, knowledge management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Network Tower Lead role

Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.

Responsible for team decisions.

Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.

Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and analyze system issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within enterprise network operations.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for support processes.

Manage team roster for covering 12x5 with on-call support during non-business hours (including

public holidays and weekends).

Provide support and guidance to network team for escalations, troubleshooting and repair of

network related issues across all business areas.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support service delivery managers for making sure

SLAs/KPIs scorecards are met and provide business justification for exemption when applicable.

Responsible for mentorship, advances in technology direction, and upskilling of network team

members.

Support network team in problem solving, change management, and release management with

focus on proactively identifying optimization or automation opportunities.

Ensure technical documentation are up-to date, including but not limited to network diagrams,

runbooks, and knowledge base articles.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies.

Experience in troubleshooting and resolving network issues.

Knowledge of network monitoring tools and techniques.

Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.

Leadership abilities including co-leadership of hybrid teams from different countries, able to

provide accurate and direct feedback to improve network service.

Required Skill:

Required Skill: Proficiency in Enterprise Network Operations.

Expertise in SDWAN (i.e. Fortinet Fortigate, Cisco Meraki MX), and Microsoft Azure WAN

Expert in routing and switching technologies and protocols including TCP IP, STP, VLAN,

CDP, LLDP, BGP, ISIS OSPF EIGRP, and MPLS DWDM WAN LAN VOIP technologies

Expert in IPv4 IPv6 and able to develop new modify network build and troubleshooting

scripts with scripting languages like Python, Linux Unix Shell, JSP, Ruby, Perl along with

Linux and other OS knowledge including kernel.

Expert in Wireless Controllers, F5 load balancers, SolarWinds network monitoring and

reporting.

Training and certification on Fortinet (NSE 1 to 4), Cisco Meraki Solutions (ECMS 1 & 2) or Cisco

(CCNA / CCNP) is a must have. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), and ITIL Foundation (v4)

is a plus.

Additional Information:

The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Enterprise Network Operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Computer Science,

Information Technology, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering

impactful solutions
