What is the job?

The Senior Medical Billing Specialist manages the financial processes related to patient services in healthcare settings. This position ensures accurate billing, coding, and claims management.

• Manages patient accounts for assigned practices.
• Tracking and managing claims, correcting errors, and ensuring timely submission.
• Recording and reconciling payments.
• Monitoring outstanding accounts receivable, following up on unpaid claims, and coordinating with insurance companies and patients to resolve payment issues .
• Verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits.
• Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, coding standards, and payer requirements.
• Communication with patients and providers
• Investigating and resolving denied claims, and working to prevent future denials.
• Reviewing and managing payer contracts to ensure compliance with reimbursement terms and conditions.
• Handling overpayments and recoupments from payers.
• Conducting audits of billing and coding practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Answer patient phone calls regarding statement questions, taking patient payments, and setting up payment plans.
• Identifies and executes process improvement.

What you bring to the job?

• At least six (6) years in healthcare revenue billing and coding fee-for-service
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Biller (CPB) required.
• Must have a stable employment history.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Have high energy, be a self-starter, great teammate and ready to roll up your sleeves to get things done
• Comfortable in working with US-based client
• Good tenure with previous companies (stays with companies for at least a year)
• Willing to work from 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM, PH Time, Monday - Friday(Philippine Time)
