Role: Senior Growth Manager

Role Overview

As Growth Manager, your north star metric is simple: maximize the number of low-cost, paid SaaS subscribers acquired and retained on the platform daily, weekly, and monthly on the one hand and manage the average Cost per Acquisition. You will own the strategy, execution, experimentation, and workforce planning required to scale paid user growth at high velocity and low cost.

You’ll oversee a cross-functional growth organization including growth marketers, marketing specialists, SDRs, onboarding agents, and customer success reps—all focused-on volume, velocity, and customer retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth Strategy & Execution
  • Design and execute customer acquisition strategies tailored to the SMB and self-employed market segment.
  • Identify, test, and scale low-cost, high-impact acquisition tactics and growth loops.
  • Own the full funnel from awareness, free trial subscriptions to paid conversion and onboarding. Metrics-Driven Leadership
  • Optimize for Cost per Acquired (Paid) Customer (CAC) and Volume of Paid Users Onboarded per period
  • Build and manage a dashboard with daily, weekly, and monthly growth KPIs.
  • Lead data-driven prioritization of growth bets and channel investments.
  • Experimentation & Iteration
  • Run continuous growth experiments across paid media, referrals, viral features, partner distribution, multi-channel outreach, outbound calling, marketing automation, onboarding flows, pricing, etc.
  • Drive a test-and-learn culture to unlock new user acquisition channels.
  • Team Leadership & Workforce Planning
  • Plan and lead the growth organization including:
  • Growth marketers and marketing specialists
  • SDRs focused on outbound and inbound conversion
  • Customer onboarding agents
  • Customer success representatives
  • Ensure the right mix of skills, headcount, and performance management to hit subscriber growth targets.
  • Onboarding & Lifecycle Ownership
  • Ensure new paid subscribers are quickly and successfully onboarded through automated flows and high-touch support.
  • Reduce early churn and increase feature adoption through lifecycle communications and tailored engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to remove friction in the acquisition funnel.
  • Influence product development based on acquisition and retention insights.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in growth, performance marketing, or customer acquisition—ideally within a B2C or high-volume B2SMB SaaS business.
  • Proven track record scaling paid subscribers and reducing CAC across multiple channels.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
  • Deep knowledge of funnel analytics, attribution, A/B testing, and automation tools. Strong leadership and workforce planning capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action, experimentation, and iteration.
