Your Role

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will:

• Settlements
• Reconciliation & settlement of wholesale market transactions, including AEMO spot market, financial derivatives, ASX traded futures & OTC contracts and environmental transactions;
• Management of AEMO prudential credit arrangements including registration of reallocation trades;
• Continuing development of settlements & accounting policies & procedures, together with ongoing development, refinement and/or implementation of the required operational & financial models.
• Complete, accurate & timely settlement of various wholesale market transactions through the following activities:
• reconciliation of transactions, including spot energy, derivative, environmental/emissions;
• resolution of reconciliation discrepancies;
• cash settlement of all transactions in accordance with appropriate settlement deadlines.
• Accounts Payable
• Oversight and management of outstanding invoices in the system.
• Reconciliation of supplier accounts.
• Compliance
• Preparation of the IAS/BAS.
• Preparation of reporting to meet financier obligations.
• Preparation of ABS surveys.
• Support Wholesale with the audit process and certificate surrender to ensure Blue NRG meets compliance under all relevant environmental schemes.
• General
• Bank reconciliation.
• Maintaining Daily Cashflow for Receipts/Accounts Payable.
• Make journal/data entries and effect trial balances as required and extract statistical data from records for analysis as requested.
• Assist the Management Accountant as required.

• Act in the best interests of Blue NRG at all times, working together across the business to create the best overall results and decisions. Encourage the sharing of skills and experience, and contribute to the success of the business at all levels
• Business Improvement
• Work collaboratively with Blue NRG’s management in identifying, scoping and delivering key improvements to support key business objectives.
• Identify and engage with Blue NRG’s management to maintain regular formal and informal updates on progress with agreed activities
• Assist and provide support to internal stakeholders as listed below
  

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• At least one years’ experience in similar role (Senior Bookkeeper).
• Proficiency with Xero
• Proficiency with ABA and internet banking application
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints.
