About the job:

We are looking for a Senior & Lead Test Engineer who will manage our software testing practices and support the growth of the team and of the business.

We welcome contractual and permanent candidates.

Project and Software Test Management

• Define the Test Strategy.
• Prepare a concise Test Plan.
• Define and manage the test design, creation, and execution within the allocated timeline and coverage.
• Enable the team with the right mix of skill-set.
• Facilitate inter-team communication across agile teams.
• Test status and utilization reporting to higher management.
• Define and enable all the necessary testing tools, training, budgets, and forecasting.
• Mentor and guide the testing team and act as an escalation point for testers.
• Define Acceptance Criteria and the Definition of done.
• Estimate the scope and size of the testing effort.
• Review and update estimates for upcoming user stories.
• Measuring and reporting test coverage across sprints.
• Ensuring proper use of testing tools.
• Configuring, using, and managing test environments and data.
• Design and execute test cases.
• Reporting defects and working with the team to resolve them.
• Fix and verify bugs within the same sprint.
• Actively collaborating with other agile team members.
• Participating in daily standup meetings, story grooming sessions, team retrospectives, suggesting and implementing improvements.
  
  

Team Development

• Career advisor role to junior members.
• Work closely with team members.
• Support team members with other project activities.
• Coaching of team members.
• Active contribution to the build-up of the new team.
• Active contribution to Synpulse growth in software development through initiatives, tools development, and process improvement.
  
  

Business Development

• Close interaction with clients through regular project updates and networking.
• Support project proposals and initiatives.
• Support the success of a workstream by directing activities, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and timely submission.
  
  

You:

• Experienced in managing software test engineers.
• Experienced in QA processes with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Well-versed in Testing Automation processes and tools.
• Has experience working in JIRA.
• Have applied knowledge in insurance systems and willingness to learn banking systems.
• Analytical, structured, and has an efficient way of working.
• Can fluently speak and write in English.
• Has entrepreneurial spirit.
