Senior AI Engineer

Position Description

As a Senior AI Engineer with significant experience, you will lead and mentor junior developers on projects while contributing to various development tasks. These responsibilities include coding, data analysis, and participating in the design and implementation of software solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Manage project deadlines effectively through proper self-planning in line with project and delivery schedules.
• Proactively identify and raise any issues that could delay task completion and, when possible, suggest practical solutions to ensure client commitments are met.
• Develop code and create unit test plans that comply with the project's software development standards.
• Evaluate the full potential impact of implemented changes and carry out appropriate regression testing.
• Collaborate with functional authorities to discuss and confirm an accurate understanding of the functionality being implemented.
• Implement functionality as specified in functional and technical documentation.
• Investigate and resolve defects assigned through the defect tracking process.
• Ensure all code, documentation, unit test plans, and test results are reviewed and comply with development quality assurance standards.
• Complete document updates for inclusion in the current software release.
• Address all feedback and comments on your documentation.
• Provide support during project review processes.
• Participate in recruitment efforts for team expansion as needed.
• Plan and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for new team members and related processes, in coordination with Project/Delivery Leads.
• Submit status reports to Project/Delivery Leads, detailing current and upcoming activities and effort estimates.
• Maintain a positive, proactive attitude and demonstrate full ownership of assigned tasks.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Managers, Leads, and team members.
• Ensure work is carried out in alignment with project and quality plans.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Core AI Development, including modeling.
• Strong expertise in enterprise-level cross-platform integration within AI Development is essential.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Robust technical experience in coding.
• Foundational knowledge of AI with practical exposure to business applications and production environments.
• Experience in AI Engineering, including:
• Mathematical and statistical programming, complex data structures, and algorithm analysis.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data analysis, and visual storytelling.
• Feature engineering, reduction, and selection.
• Hypothesis experimentation, model building, tuning, evaluation, and selection.
• AI engineering operations and pipeline development, as well as cross-platform and enterprise system integration.
• Applied research and development.
• Experience with technical architecture responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills and effective time management.
• Candidate must be open to work at least 2-3 times a week in Taguig.
