Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Leader for Sales to lead and inspire our sales team in the promotional industry. As a Team Leader, you will oversee day-to-day operations, drive sales growth, develop team members, and ensure that sales targets are consistently met or exceeded. You will be responsible for guiding and mentoring our sales team to achieve and exceed their targets. You will leverage your expertise in the promotional industry to develop and implement training programs, provide hands-on coaching, and create strategies to enhance sales performance. Your role will be pivotal in shaping a high-performing sales team and ensuring we continue to lead the industry with top-notch service and innovative promotional solutions.

Essential Functions

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Foster a positive, high-energy team environment that encourages collaboration, performance, and growth.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for team members.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals in the promotional industry.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, planning, and performance tracking to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Support team members in closing key sales opportunities and managing large client accounts.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
  • Act as the point of contact for escalations and provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure promotions align with customer needs and market trends.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Track and report team performance, sales KPIs, and customer feedback to senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure CRM systems are updated and accurate to provide real-time insights into sales activities.

Training & Development

  • Train new team members in company products, sales techniques, and CRM systems.
  • Encourage continuous learning by keeping the team up to date on industry trends, new promotional products, and best practices.

Essential Qualifications

Education/Certification: High School Diploma, required

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales within the promotional products industry, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing successful sales strategies.
  • Coaching Expertise: Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring sales teams, with strong skills in training and performance management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of promotional products, market trends, and customer needs.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess sales performance, identify trends, and develop data-driven strategies.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
