Your impact

Sales Operations Professional in our world, takes ownership of the end-to-end bid process to help position Jacobs to win these world defining projects. The best approach and style of our submissions work will form a key part of this role, with a strong emphasis on the quality and presentation of each submission. Autonomy is a given, but the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines is important to being successful in this environment.

We are currently looking for a Sales Operations Professional – Proposal Manager to join our growing team. The Sales Operations Proposal Manager provides pursuit and bid leadership for complex proposals, client accounts or services within a specific market or solution area; and instill an inclusive culture within the team that values diversity of thought and lives Jacobs’ Culture of Caring. You need to be effective at bringing the ideas of others to market; have good judgment about which ideas and suggestions work; and be able to manage the work winning and creative process of others.

Role Summary

  • As Sales Operations Proposal Manager you facilitate and lead the application of the end-to-end Relationship-Based Sales (RBS) process to help position Jacobs to win large / complex opportunities and develop meaningful client relationships.
  • Develop distinctive value propositions that enhance Jacobs’ competitive position.
  • You will leverage your regional and global network to identify and put forward Jacobs’ unique capabilities and resources; and will organize, direct, and motivate multidisciplinary opportunity teams to develop sales deliverables for specific proposals.
  • The Sales Operations Proposal Manager works autonomously and has the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. In order to be successful, you will be a self-starter, develop creative solutions to tackle challenges, create a team environment and support others


Here's what you'll need

  • Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business or any technical / related discipline from a college or university
  • Quick comprehension and a critical, analytical thinker who connects the dots and comes up with insightful ideas to continually and sustainably achieve work and clients.
  • Ability to facilitate teams in developing and maturing fit-for-purpose, client-centric solutions in all submissions and external / outgoing deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills and highly developed soft skills relating to facilitation, influencing others and instilling an inclusive culture within the opportunity team
