Experience

  • Five (5) years' experience in Sales and Marketing in the Logistics and Shipping industry.
  • With 3 years' experience as Sales Manager, Sales or Business Development.

Overall Responsibility

Responsible for directing, development and overseeing the effective implementation of the Company’s sales and marketing strategies through the observance of set standards and the implementation of policies and ensuring attainment of revenue and sales targets and customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conducts regular sales call/visits to generate new accounts and maintain existing accounts.
  • Reviews and decides on the rate and other special arrangement to be given to customers.
  • Ensure regular update of relevant customer’s data.
  • Gathers information on new developments in the supply chain industry which are of interest to customers and the company.
  • Monitors and knows competitors’ activities.
  • Reports / updates current market condition and competition.
  • Directs the formulation, development, installation and constant review and updating of relevant sales system, processes, corresponding infrastructure and policies that will support sales strategies, responsive to market condition.
  • Recommends the necessary operational, marketing and other necessary business infrastructures that would lead to achievement of the approved plans and programs.
  • Implements all approved policies and infrastructures in the department.
  • Communicates effectively the marketing plan to the Sales and Marketing Team following a well-crafted and approved communication plan.
  • Implements the marketing, sales and branding action plans.
  • Ensures attainment of sales / revenue target by monitoring sales from existing accounts and continues generation of new accounts.
  • Initiates course of action when necessary to improve sales strategies and goals.
  • Facilitates processing of Account receivables in coordination with Accounting/Finance and Admin. Department.
  • Monitors staff performance and participate in the regular performance review based on the set guidelines.
  • Ensures that staff attends the required hours of training annually to enhance their competency requirement.
  • Develop Marketing plan and programs based on market profiles and business directions.
  • Identifies and recommends best practices for benchmarking.
  • Disseminates marketing activities through direct mails, emails broadcast campaign, Marketing traded shows and events, media advertisement, promotion and other marketing activities.
  • Ensures that all policies, programs and goals are communicated to the Sales and Marketing Team and that communication infrastructure is in place for continuous updating of relevant information.
  • Encourages clients/customer and service providers to comply with the government statutory requirements related to manpower and shipment.
