About the role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our team on a contract basis in Batangas, Calabarzon. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees and contractors on construction sites. This is a critical role that plays a key part in supporting our company's commitment to providing a safe working environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular site inspections to identify and address potential health and safety hazards
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures
  • Providing safety training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors
  • Investigating and documenting incidents, accidents and near-misses
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Collaborating with project managers, supervisors and workers to promote a strong safety culture
  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing safety reports

    • What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organisation
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to risk identification and mitigation
  • Relevant safety certifications and training (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH)
