Responsible for putting safety procedures into place, enforcing them to avoid workplace mishaps, and making sure local and federal laws are followed.
- Develop safety programs, carry out regulatory inspections, and look into workplace occurrences.
- Creates information and reports on compliance, accident reports, and safety-man hours.
- Work with the security department to coordinate measures to ensure the safety of firm property, employees, and assets.
- Environmental functions create pollution control strategies, oversee adherence to environmental laws, and produce the reports that different government offices and agencies want.
- Port facility security makes sure that no illegal foreigners, bandits, or other dangerous people can use a port or vessel as a point of entry to enter the plant.
