As a Route Coordinator, you will:
- Create daily routes for drivers and keep in touch with them throughout the day about their routes.
- Schedule appointments with customers for Deliveries, In-service Repairs, Home Evaluations, Equipment Pickups, and New Equipment Deliveries.
- Review dispatch tickets and clarify route events. This is done collectively with the drivers to relay correct information to the proceeding persons in the process
- Adjust routes depending on the availability of our patients, drivers, and road conditions.
- Schedule Drivers and assign routes based on performance.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and delivery personnel to provide route instructions, address any issues or concerns, and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Measure route productivity and success rate per Drivers. Based on results you’ll be assigning primary/ starting Driver(s), and secondary/ back up Driver(s).
- Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment and service vehicles maintenance, breakdown, and repairs and ensure that maintenance schedule is adhered to
- Maintain contact with Drivers and Customers throughout the duration of the routes.
- Act as a liaison between customers and the logistics team to address any delivery-related inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Apply insights from revenue cycle management to identify opportunities for streamlining processes, reducing Days in WIP, and maximizing revenue capture within the logistics operations.
- Respond to, research, and resolve customer issues and complaints against drivers.
- Schedule appointments for patients for deliveries, in-service repairs. home evaluations, equipment pickups, and new equipment deliveries
- Follow up with pending work orders
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Non-negotiables
- Minimum of 2 years of Real-Time Analyst/ Workforce-management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of RTA/WFM Team Leader or Supervisory experience
- A bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as logistics, business, or an equivalent work experience in Customer Service.
- Proven proficiency in executing master scheduling and forecasting functions.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or route planning, with a strong understanding of delivery operations and route optimization principles.
- Proficiency in using route optimization software to plan and manage delivery routes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to achieve common goals, with a strong focus on teamwork.
- Knowledge of the Northern California geography preferred
- Six-sigma certification or process improvement certifications preferred
