As a Research Facility Manager, you’ll build a rewarding career and find impact you can see every day. In this role you will use your knowledge of facility management, grains cropping and smart farming technology to build trusted relationships and support the operations within the Central Queensland Smart Cropping Centre. You will bring your experience in a managerial role to manage the Research Infrastructure team and make CQSCC a leader in innovation.

The Opportunity

As a Research Facility Manager:

• Develop and implement operational and business plans related to research and development, compliance and resource management.
• Build trusted relationships with DAF researchers and technical staff and external researchers to capitalise on the use of Agtech equipment and resources.
• Make informed, data-driven decisions and ensure the integrity of research, development and extension projects and activities are respected to deliver positive outcomes for industry.
• Take opportunities for your own professional development and of the staff you supervise through performance capability planning and dedicated career development training programs.
  
  
  

Emerald is located a three-hour drive from Rockhampton and is the largest town in the Central Queensland Highlands.

What we are looking for: (qualifications, registrations, experience)

There are some qualifications and licences that we see as essential. You must possess a:

• Minimum of a Diploma or Associate Diploma in Agricultural or Animal Sciences or equivalent.
• A current “C” class drivers' licence.
  
  
  

This role requires the ability to handle and operate both traditional and technologically advanced farming equipment.
