Research and Development Specialist
Negotiable Salary: starts from 25k. Competitive Pay Based on Your Experience and Asking Rate
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
Licensed Food Technologist (if applicable)
Minimum of 3 years of relevant R&D experience in any of the following food industry segments: sauces and syrups (1), ice cream (1), baking/pastry (1), or beverages (1).
Strong background in product development, formulation, and sensory evaluation
Knowledgeable in food safety regulations and quality control standards
Demonstrated ability to innovate and solve technical problems in product development
Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
Job Responsibilities
Product Development:
Design and develop new ice cream flavors and beverage formulations.
Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to refine products.
Collaborate with marketing teams to align product development with market trends.
Quality Assurance
Monitor and maintain product quality and consistency throughout production.
Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Investigate and resolve product issues and customer complaints.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure all products meet federal, state, and local food safety regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation and labeling for all products.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements.
Collaboration
Work closely with production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
Provide technical support and training to staff on product handling and safety.
Collaborate with suppliers for raw material sourcing and quality assessment.
Research And Innovation
Conduct research on new ingredients and technologies to improve products.
Explore opportunities for sustainable practices and ingredient sourcing.
Participate in industry conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and network.
