As the Regional ITP Manager, you will work towards building a local regulatory environment that is conducive to growing our smoke-free business and safeguarding a level playing field for our SFP and combustible cigarette business. Primary role is to craft a regional strategy to help the local regulatory environment conform with national regulations with a view towards our smoke-free future. You will contribute to PMFTC's fight against illicit trade in tobacco and other nicotine products; you will also work closely with our Law team to be responsive to Law Enforcement agencies and internal stakeholders requests for the provision of technical and legal expertise as well as support for the prosecution of offenders of ITP laws. The scope of the role means that this is a tremendous growth and development opportunity for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for:


  • Prepare the local regulatory environment to conform with national regulations with a view towards our smoke-free future by managing the illicit trade incidence in Mindanao
  • Creating the strategy for Mindanao and executing it with a focus on priority commercial areas.
  • Providing technical support, in coordination with Law, to law enforcement agencies in terms of prosecution of offenders of illicit trade laws
  • Monitoring, investigating, authenticating, reporting and conducting pre-enforcement work for CC and SFP related intellectual property violations involving trademarks, copyrights and design infringement (whether committed through online sales or through physical stores) which adversely affect the legitimate Philippine market for nicotine products
  • Creating Create opportunities for engagements and meaningful dialogue with Legislators, Cabinet Secretaries, Department Undersecretaries, Assistant Secretaries and Directors and other senior-ranking officials of the various Executive Agencies. This also includes national, regional, and local organizations of governors, mayors, board members, councilors, and barangay officials.
  • Regular communicating to internal and external stakeholders about the adverse impact of illicit trade on the national economy, the industry, the trade and consumers using various tools such as traditional media and social media


To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • At least 8 years of meaningful experience working as a corporate lawyer or doing government relations work, ideally gained in the consumer products, electronic devices, or tobacco industries
  • Preferably some experience in Litigation
  • An established network across local govenments and law enforcement agencies
  • Experience working in the filed with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders
