UCT is looking for a talented Quoting Specialist I to join us in Cebu! The Quoting Specialist will utilize customer supplied BOMs and documentation to create competitive material quotes that follow all required specifications for customer designed assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enforce the supply chain quoting requirement list with Account Operations and Sales.
• References and implements the Supply Chain Management preferred vendor list.
• When provided with Bills of Materials, drawings, specifications, and other customer documentation: collect competitive supplier costs supporting the customer assemblies. Supports sales and customer facing teams with the goal of winning new business for the company.
• Basic understanding of multilevel customer BOMs; identify drawing types and understands different fabrication techniques.
• Load the price and lead time into SAP.
• Obtain competitive component costs from supply base for the purpose of providing quotes and proposals to our customers.
• Organize Bills of Material, conduct searches in databases and analyze requirements.
• Initiate and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.
• Purchasing/Materials/Material Analyst background preferred.
• Must have demonstrated experience in cost-reduction, material cost analysis, and generation of material RFQs.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to understand, and perform to, complex requirements.
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with identified prioritization.
• Ability to use ERP estimating systems such as SAP, Visual, etc. and Microsoft suite: Excel, Word and Access.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
  
  

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred or equivalent experience.
  
  

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

• 1+ years relevant quoting and/or estimating experience, with significant materials related technical experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment in similar position.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment industry preferred.
• Ability to comprehend simple multi-level BOM structures.
