Role Summary
The Quality Engineer will contribute to small and large-scale Agile projects by performing manual and automation testing, retesting defect fixes, and supporting code release initiatives. The role involves test creation based on provided documentation, with a strong focus on automation while also engaging in functional testing as needed.

The Quality Engineer will contribute to small and large-scale Agile projects by performing manual and automation testing, retesting defect fixes, and supporting code release initiatives. The role involves test creation based on provided documentation, with a strong focus on automation while also engaging in functional testing as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute activities across the full testing lifecycle.
- Create test plans and recommend improvements to testing processes.
- Build, maintain, and review test cases based on business requirements.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to clarify project scope and participate in team estimations.
- Develop automated testing suites, identify test coverage gaps, and implement new automated tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform manual and automated test execution for both functional and non-functional testing, and document results.
- Conduct peer reviews of test artifacts.
- Monitor open bugs, perform retests, and follow up with development teams.
- Adhere to established testing standards and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers of varying levels and manage challenges across different projects and workstreams.
- Experience: 4-5 years as a Quality Engineer with a solid foundation in writing structured automated tests.
- Automation Frameworks: Intermediate proficiency in tools such as Cucumber, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Programming: Intermediate experience in automation programming, preferably in Java.
- API Testing: Familiarity with REST API test automation using tools like JMeter and Postman.
- Testing Practices: Experience with shift-left testing approaches, functional and non-functional testing, including performance testing.
- CI/CD Tools: Working knowledge of Git-based repositories, Jenkins, JIRA, and other CI/CT/CD tools.
- Cloud Applications: Experience in testing cloud-based applications.
- AI Tools & Testing: Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and methodologies is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Independent, proactive, and capable of multitasking. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams across geographies.
