What are we looking for?

We are looking for a skilled Backend Software Engineer (Python) with strong experience in building scalable APIs, geospatial data handling, and cloud-based development. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the backbone of our data-driven and map-integrated systems, primarily supporting telecom and utility network planning solutions

What are you expected to do?

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend APIs using Python (Flask or FastAPI).
• Manage and optimize relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL with PostGIS for spatial data processing.
• Develop serverless applications within the AWS ecosystem (API Gateway, Lambda, etc.).
• Design and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring best practices in scalability, security, and performance.
• Implement and monitor microservices and event-driven systems (e.g., webhooks).
• Integrate spatial mapping tools and libraries such as Mapbox, incorporating GIS concepts as needed.
• Set up and manage observability tools like Datadog or New Relic for system monitoring and logging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver iterative improvements.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
  
  

You’ll Be a Great Fit If

• You have at least 3–5 years of experience in backend development, including public-facing API products.
• You have proficiency in Python and relevant frameworks (Flask, FastAPI).
• You have an advanced SQL expertise and experience working with geospatial extensions like PostGIS.
• You have a strong familiarity with AWS services relevant to serverless architecture.
• You have a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and full API technology stack.
• You have experience with observability, logging, and performance monitoring tools.
• You are comfortable working in Agile environments with version control (Git) and task tracking tools.
  
  

We will be absolutely thrilled if you also have the following:

• You have experience with geospatial data formats such as GeoJSON, shapefiles, and KMZ.
• You have an understanding of telecom or utility network planning and deployment workflows.
• You have a familiarity with frontend technologies (React, Vue, Angular) and UI/UX design tools like Figma.
• You have a knowledge of server-side rendering, state management libraries, and frontend integration patterns.

What happens after you submit your application?

The Whole Process Takes Around 4 Weeks

• There will be 3-4 interviews and a possible assessment from our client partner. You will undergo an initial interview, a culture interview, and 1-2 interviews with our cool client. This will run for about 1-2 weeks but we will let you know if we need to ramp it up. Be yourself and have fun.
• We will constantly communicate with you as to the development of your application. You can also directly communicate with us to ask us about the status of your application.
• If all goes well, we complete the reference check and provide other necessary requirements so we can offer you the job right away.
