About The Role
As a Professional Services Manager, you will:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Professional Services Manager (PMO Team Manager) to lead our team of Project Management professionals. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of client projects, maintaining exceptional standards of project execution, and fostering a culture of team development and performance excellence.
What You'll Do
Strategic Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers, encompassing both permanent employees and contract staff.
- Conduct comprehensive performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate career development opportunities.
- Establish clear performance expectations and drive accountability through effective KPI management.
- Collaborate with Portfolio/Program Managers to oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce industry best practices in project management to guarantee consistent and superior service delivery.
- Proactively monitor team performance to ensure consistent adherence to established standards.
- Serve as a secondary escalation point for client issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align project delivery with organizational objectives.
- Strategically manage resource allocation to optimize team capacity and meet project demands.
- Drive utilization targets by ensuring accurate timesheet compliance and appropriate resource allocation.
- Collaborate with delivery functions to address resource needs and anticipate future project demands.
- Provide regular performance updates to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to project tracking and reporting requirements.
- Conduct formal performance reviews and manage annual compensation processes.
- Deliver comprehensive training on project management tools and systems.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and enhance team capabilities.
- Provide coaching and implement performance management strategies as required.
- Maintain adherence to ISO accreditation requirements across all projects and processes.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure robust documentation practices.
- Maintain a high level of security awareness across the team.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role managing a team of project management professionals, or career experience in leading a high-performing PMO team
- Proven expertise in project management methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles.
- Knowledge of established change management models (ADKAR preferred).
- Understanding of contract management.
- Demonstrated leadership and accountability.
- Strong risk and financial management skills.
- Experience managing large and diverse teams.
- Technical knowledge of:
- Complex multi-platform and high-demand ICT technology.
- Applications management, design, and use (server/mobile).
- Enterprise Voice & IP Telephony, including cloud based unified communications
- Contact Centre systems.
- Cloud, Data Centre, and collaboration solutions.
- Wireless networks.
- LAN & WAN infrastructure.
