What you'll be doing:
Production Supervisor is mainly responsible in ensuring that the assigned manufacturing unit safely delivers products that meet all company cost, quality and service objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Production Control
Sets daily/weekly/monthly goals on safety, quality, service, and cost and communicates clear expectations to production personnel.
Organizes workflow and completes production plan by reviewing work orders and assigning responsibilities; providing resources; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results of the production flow on shift/daily production summaries. Provides Production Line Leaders a copy of work orders to execute before the start of the shift.
Ensures equipment and tools are in good working order and available for use when required.
Enforces a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Conducts regular audits on quality, safety, productivity, and GMP to identify any shortcomings and to maintain high standard adherence.
Control of Cost
Ensures that all production resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.
Responsible for meeting departmental budget goals.
Implements cost reduction initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodology.
Quality Control
Ensures that all production processes are producing products to the highest quality standards.
Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points; studying methods; developing reporting procedures and systems; and facilitating corrections to malfunctions control within process points.
Learning and Development
Develops and maintains training program in conjunction with the Training Coordinator to ensure that all personnel have the necessary skills to perform their duties safely and productively.
Leads, coaches, and counsels production personnel effectively. Monitors and appraises their job results and performance according to the set of goals given. Enforcing discipline and compliance with all policies, rules, and regulations from all production personnel.
Build capability across the team by providing relevant experience, conducting career conversations, and ensuring development and succession plans are in place.
Admin Tasks
Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.
Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
