Overview:

As a Product Specialist for Know-Your-Business (KYB), you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the systems, workflows, and user experiences that power the onboarding and lifecycle management of Maya Business customers. In this role, you will work at the intersection of regulatory compliance, product design, and operational efficiency, helping to ensure that Maya Business customers can seamlessly access our financial services while meeting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know-Your-Business (KYB) requirements. You will support the Product Manager in defining product features, defining business rules, coordinating cross-functional implementation, and driving improvements to the KYB journey.


What you will do:

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to develop and refine the KYB product roadmap, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and business goals.
  • Translate regulatory and operational requirements into well-defined product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Contribute to designing a user-centric experience for both Maya Business customers and Onboarding Operations.
  • Work closely with Risk & Compliance, Legal, and Infosec to ensure KYB processes meet internal standards and regulations set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and other regulators.
  • Coordinate with Product Engineering and Design teams to support feature implementation, clarify product requirements, and participate in solution design discussions.
  • Lead the KYB Mesh team as the Product Owner, working closely with engineering leads, developers, and QEs to ensure clear communication of goals, priorities, and requirements; manage and prioritize the product backlog to deliver high-impact KYB features and improvements.
  • Analyze the end-to-end KYB journey to identify pain points, inefficiencies, or risks, and recommend improvements to enhance user experience and operational effectiveness.
  • Support the creation and refinement of risk scoring and profiling models, decisioning rules, and exception-handling flows.
  • Define and optimize workflows for onboarding, document collection, due diligence screening, and ongoing monitoring of business customers.
  • Prepare and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate new KYB features or process changes before deployment.
  • Monitor the performance of deployed features to ensure functionality, usability, and compliance objectives are met.
  • Support integration efforts with third-party KYB service providers, including API-based data verification, registry lookups, and document parsing tools.
  • Participate in evaluating external tools or data sources that can improve KYB efficiency, data accuracy, or regulatory coverage.
  • Collaborate with data analytics to leverage data and customer insights in driving product enhancements, optimize user experiences, and maximize revenue.
  • Conduct market research and analysis within the Philippines FinTech Sector, staying attuned to industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities to determine key product strategies.


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in product management, compliance operations, or onboarding in a financial services or fintech environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including compliance, operations, and engineering.
  • Experience or exposure to eKYC/KYB platforms, API-based business verification, OCR/data extraction solutions, and CRM solutions are a plus
