Your Role

As a Procurement Specialist/Manager , you will:

• Communicate with suppliers via email and phone to source materials, confirm availability, and negotiate terms.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and competitive pricing.
• Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues when necessary.
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders in the system.
• Ensure POs align with forecasted demand and production requirements.
• Organize and reconcile PO invoices to match receipts and resolve discrepancies.
• Schedule freight for inbound shipments, balancing cost and delivery requirements.
• Communicate with freight providers to track shipments and resolve logistics issues.
• Assist in monitoring stock levels and forecasting material requirements.
• Provide input to the demand planning process by analyzing consumption patterns and supplier lead times.
• Flag potential shortages or overstock situations proactively.
• Maintain organized purchasing records and documentation.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and production teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Provide timely updates to stakeholders on order status, delivery schedules, and supplier issues.
  
  

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (2-5 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of supplier negotiations, quantity breaks, and purchasing best practices.
• Familiarity with freight scheduling and logistics coordination.
• Basic knowledge of demand planning and inventory management.
• Proficiency with purchasing or ERP systems (ERPNext, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for supplier and internal team interactions.
