We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Process Engineer to own, design, and support innovative industrial water treatment projects. This role involves transforming complex concepts into actionable solutions, ensuring technical excellence from initial design through final commissioning, and providing ongoing system optimization and support.


Work schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • US Central Timezone


Responsibilities

  • Own the Process: From initial concept to final commissioning, you'll take full ownership of the technical aspects of water treatment projects.
  • Decipher & Design: Transform conceptual ideas into fully scoped, executable solutions, filling in the crucial details for design, quoting, and execution.
  • Estimate & Excel: Support the commercial team by creating accurate cost estimates and compelling technical proposals, ensuring we win the right projects.
  • Execute with Precision: Manage the technical aspects of projects from proposal to commissioning, guaranteeing designs meet and exceed performance expectations.
  • Optimize & Support: Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for installed systems, optimizing performance and ensuring long-term success.
  • Navigate the Nuances: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, applying your deductive reasoning to solve complex challenges and maintain project momentum.
  • Technical Development: Translate high-level concepts into detailed engineering designs for industrial water treatment systems.
  • Quoting & Estimating: Generate accurate cost estimates and technical proposals to support the sales team.
  • Project Execution: Manage the technical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and performance requirements.
  • Lifecycle Support: Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization for installed systems.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with sales, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless project execution.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or related discipline) required.
  • 3-5+ years of proven experience in industrial water treatment, with expertise in Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems.
  • Solid technical foundation in engineering principles, specifically related to water treatment processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to transform technical concepts into clear, executable project plans.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of clearly explaining complex technical information.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments, effectively managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Previous experience working directly within industrial water treatment or environmental engineering sectors.
  • Experience with reverse osmosis (RO) systems highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with related industry software tools for process design and system analytics.
