Title: Payroll Specialist (US Payroll)
The Payroll Specialist (US) will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all North American employees.
This position will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to handle payroll-related inquiries and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
Must be a graduate of Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience). At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing, preferably using ADP Workforce Now or ADP Enterprise HR.
The Payroll Specialist (US) will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all North American employees.
This position will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to handle payroll-related inquiries and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process Bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and/or monthly payroll for North American employees using the ADP payroll system.
- Verify and enter employee data, including hours worked, new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates and deductions.
- Ensure accurate calculations for regular and overtime hours, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation components.
- Review timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies with relevant departments.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management and finance as required.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all payroll processes.
- Handle payroll inquiries from employees, addressing issues related to pay, taxes, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to reconcile payroll-related accounts and address any discrepancies.
- Process employee benefit deductions, garnishments, and other payroll deductions accurately.
- Assist in year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reconciliation.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data confidentiality and security.
- Participate in payroll system upgrades and testing, ensuring smooth implementation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and other stakeholders regarding payroll matters.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices in the United States and Canada.
- Amenable to work a night shift (9PM - 6:45 AM)
- Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig (Hybrid)
