Position Summary:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing across the APAC region, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and completeness. This hands-on, individual contributor role manages the end-to-end payroll cycle—including preparation, distribution, processing, and reporting—while ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate brings deep regional payroll expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset for identifying process improvements. Serving as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, this role addresses all payroll and timekeeping inquiries within the APAC region.

What You’ll Do:

• Own payroll processing across Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand—and more as we grow.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax filings, and social contributions.
• Be the go-to expert for payroll queries, policies, and timekeeping support.
• Collaborate with People Ops to elevate the employee experience.
• Manage bonuses, commissions, and termination payments with precision.
• Continuously improve payroll processes and documentation.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of APAC payroll experience (Australia + one other country preferred).
• Expertise with Workday, Deel, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English (bonus points for additional APAC languages).
