Pastry Baker

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pastry Baker or Pastry Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or bakery setting
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation
• Creative flair and artistic ability, with a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious pastries
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and precision in executing recipes and decorating techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also capable of working independently
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the position

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a diverse range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and specialty items
• Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistency and quality of finished products
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and assist in placing orders as needed to ensure sufficient stock
• Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times, ensuring compliance with health regulations
