Universal Robina Corporation is looking for an L&D Officer.
What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
- Drive Capability Building across PH, with strong focus on ISC
Lead the design and rollout of structured learning initiatives that strengthen both technical and leadership capabilities across the Philippines organization, with particular emphasis on building a future-ready ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) workforce. Ensure alignment of capability programs with business priorities and talent strategies.
- Own design and development programs to free up HRBPs for Business Partnering
Take full accountability for end-to-end program management—from needs assessment, design, vendor management, to execution and evaluation. This enables HRBPs to devote greater time and energy to strategic business partnering, while ensuring L&D programs are consistent, high quality, and scalable.
- Drive functional academies anchored on development plans
Establish and manage functional academies (e.g., Supply Chain Academy, Commercial Academy, Finance Academy) based on identified development needs and career pathways. Partner with functional leaders to curate targeted learning journeys that address skill gaps, deepen expertise, and prepare talent for progression.
- Lead GBF programs on technical training, INJ, and continuing education
Oversee GBF learning initiatives such as technical training, INJ (Induction & Job-readiness) programs, and ongoing continuing education. Track participation, impact, and application of learning to strengthen capability pipelines.
- Partner with Ops Excellence on reward and career lattice integration
Collaborate with Operations Excellence in designing the reward component of the career lattice. Ensure that career progression frameworks are clear, capability-based, and tied to meaningful recognition and incentives. This alignment helps employees see the link between development, performance, and growth opportunities within the company
What are the Qualifications?
- 3–5 years experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or HR
- Experience working with Integrated Supply Chain / Manufacturing / Plant Operations environment is highly preferred
- With experience in program design (Leadership and Functional), facilitation, and end-to-end L&D project management
- Prior experience managing external training vendors and learning partners
- Exposure to career frameworks, capability building, or functional academies is an advantage
- Ability to collaborate with HRBPs and Functional Leaders and has the ability to translate business priorities into learning strategies
- Comfortable with data dashboards and analytics for tracking learning impact
